BSE was established in the year 1875. बीएसई की स्थापना वर्ष 1875 में हुई थी।
It originally started as the "Native Share & Stock Brokers’ Association". शुरुआत में इसे "नेटिव शेयर एंड स्टॉक ब्रोकर्स एसोसिएशन" कहा जाता था।
Later it became known as the Bombay Stock Exchange. बाद में इसका नाम बॉम्बे स्टॉक एक्सचेंज रखा गया।

When Sensex rises it generally indicates positive market sentiment. जब सेंसेक्स बढ़ता है तो यह बाजार की सकारात्मक भावना को दर्शाता है।
